Get the help you need

If your organisation needs help take the opportunity to get access to your local volunteer database.

With 14 Volunteer Centres in Essex, Southend and Thurrock, you can list your vacancy and it will be promoted to potential volunteers, through our volunteering database, local media and display boards. This will give you a much improved chance of finding your perfect match (and reduce the time it takes you in dealing with unsuitable volunteers).

Further information about Volunteer Centres

Volunteer Centres form a national network of agencies working to support volunteers and volunteering. Locally we are committed to a Code of Practice ensuring a high standard of service for volunteers and organisations.

Our Code of Practice includes:

  • Support for volunteers with an effective service for matching them with appropriate vacancies and ongoing support during their volunteer experience
  • Support for organisations through multi-media marketing, quality checks and good practice guidance
  • Development of volunteering through targeted projects and tailored support
  • Representation by speaking on behalf of volunteering at strategic tables and agendas
