Opportunities with Maeldune Heritage Trust

About

The Maeldune Trust was established in 1989 to fulfil the Millennium Committee’s goal of creating a heritage centre in Maldon. In 1998 the ground floor of the Plume building was made available to the Trust, who were then granted a 25 year lease by the Town Council. The Maldon Embroidery, created as part of the Millennium celebrations, was to become the centre piece of exhibitions.

The Centre also houses the Maldon Society archive and listening post, displays by local museums, exhibitions of art, and local crafts.

The Maeldune Trust is currently comprised of eight Trustees who are local people with a wide range of experience in business skills and community involvement. Meetings are held at least five times a year.

The Trust is supported by the Friends of the Maeldune Trust group.
