Colchester Pokemon Card Gaming Club is calling for volunteers to be the catalyst for positive change! The club offers a safe community space for Essex's young people with an interest in Pokemon Trading Cards. Located at Dice and a Slice on Queens Street,the club caters to individuals aged 11-19, and up to 25 with special educational needs, meeting every other Thursday. Just one afternoon of your time each week can light up the lives of local young people. At the Youth Service, we're deeply committed to providing high-quality opportunities for all young people in Essex. The Pokemon card game has captured the hearts of many, and our club has become a haven for those with social anxiety and other challenges, fostering confidence and camaraderie among its members.We're in search of volunteers who share our enthusiasm for board and card games, with a willingness to delve into the world of Pokemon cards. Your expertise or eagerness to learn can inspire and bolster the social skills and confidence of our young people.We embrace volunteers of all ages, backgrounds, and life experiences, enriching the lives of our young people with their perspectives. Young people’s experiences are all unique and it’s helpful for them to talk to people from all backgrounds.

• Gain a qualification in Youth Work if requested.
Essex Youth Service greatly appreciate the support and contribution of volunteers. They bring fresh ideas, positive energy and are motivated with a can do and willing attitude.
Skills
Enthusiasm for card games and knowledge or willingness to learn the Pokemon Trading Card Game is a must.
Youth work experience is useful, but not essential as you will work alongside youth workers who will support you to develop the skills you need. We offer training to all volunteers including intro to youth work, safeguarding level 1 and level 2, and an option to do a nationally recognised qualification.
