Wilderness Foundation supports young people aged 16-21 who are struggling in achieving an independent and healthy life. Through our 6 months Turnaround Programme that promotes self-esteem through wilderness and outdoor experience, workshops and activities that support learning and personal development and guidance in making better choices, a fuller, happier and more productive life.
Mentoring is an essential part of support to the young people. This involved trained volunteer mentors meeting the young people once a week to look at challenges they face that week, support with goal setting and help find better solutions.
Someone willing to support and mentor a young person. Training will be given.

Meetings with a young person usually take place once a week on evenings/weekend in agreement with the young person.
