Young Leaders are 14 to 17 year old volunteers, they also become youth members to the organisation so have the chance to experience Scouting first hand if they choose to. Young Leaders assist the Section Leaders and Assistant Section Leaders in delivering the programme to young people in Scouting.
There are three youth Sections the Volunteer can choose to work with:
Beaver Scouts: 6-8 years old
Cub Scouts: 8-10 years old
Scouts : 10 -14 years old

A Young leader needs to have an interest in supporting younger youth members in scouting aged between 14 - 17
