Wildlife Volunteers

Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome, are proud to have received the Queen’s Award for Volunteering and now offers you the chance to join their award winning team. They continue to develop the site into one of the premier visitor attractions in Essex and their volunteers are playing a vital part in making this happen.

Stow Maries holds regular recruitment sessions which include backstage tours of the site.

Training is provided for all our roles and most working hours are flexible. 

The aerodrome covers 92 acres of grassland and woodland and is home to a wide range of flora and fauna including owls, kestrels, smaller birds and hares.

A dedicated team is needed to help maintain this environment as well as to provide tours and information for visitors.
