Welfare Caller

Do you like to talk? Are you good at listening?

Would you like to keep people in your community safe and cared for?

Our welfare call befriending scheme provides our service users with a regular listening ear and friendly chat whilst keeping them safe in their own homes. Our callers provide informal, social support to help reduce isolation. Loneliness and isolation can negatively impact people mentally and physically however research indicates that social interaction can drastically improve an individual's health in both areas.

We are looking for people to join our friendly team of valued volunteers and become Welfare Callers for their community. Someone who can offer an isolated or lonely person that weekly friendly call and help brighten them up.

All callers are matched with someone of similar interests.

No previous experience is necessary as full training is provided.
