Essex Blind Charity has been caring for visually impaired people in Essex since the 1920s. Our aim is to deliver a range of excellent support services to people with sight loss in Essex and the adjacent East London Boroughs.
Our community services operate under the name of Essex Sight and provide support across the county.
We are so grateful for the work of our volunteers. we could not function so effectively without their valuable time and committment. Whether it is lending a hand with our excursions and activities or taking on a dedicated role, all our volunteers are really appreciated.
No experience is necessary, but you need to be friendly and able to engage with people.
All prospective volunteers will be required to provide two references which will be followed up and undertake a DBS Disclosure Application.
Volunteers will be required to respect the need for confidentiality at all times in line with our Confidentiality Policy and Data Protection Policy.
