This is an opportunity to make a real difference in the community! Springfield Youth Group needs enthusiastic, energetic volunteers to help with young people aged 11-17 years. You will encourage our members to interact with each other and join in with a variety of activities and games including arts & crafts, movie nights, air hockey & pool, bush craft, community projects and, as the weather gets warmer, football, & rounders tournaments. Further suggestions are welcome!
You'll help set up & clear away, run a small tuck shop and to help provide a safe, secure space for young people to socialise and enjoy themselves. You'll inspire youngsters to build their self-confidence, to develop interests and to join in with their community.
Benefits to volunteers include training in First Aid, Safeguarding and Mental Health First Aid. There is also the opportunity to complete the Introduction to Youth Work Course and NVQs.
Sport, music or arts/crafting knowledge would be great, and an understanding of young people, also an outgoing personality and the ability to enjoy loads of fun!
