The Warden will need excellent communication skills to liaise with the reserves team (who work remotely to the site) and visitors to the site.  An  appreciation for the importance of paperwork affiliated wtih maintaining a nature reserve is essential.  An understanding of urban nature reserves would be beneficial.  All necessary training and assistance to perform these tasks will be provided.

The warden would be expected to visit and inspect the site on a weekly basis.  There are volunteer work parties that run on the second Sunday of the month and on Wednesday evenings in the summer.  The warden would plan the activities for these in line with the site action plan and ensure all activities were carried out in a safe and appropriate manner conducting risk assesments for all activities.
