Volunteer Telephone Befriender

This volunteer role involves providing regular conversation and companionship to a lonely or isolated person through a weekly phone call. Over time, you will build a positive and supportive connection, offering comfort and friendly interaction to someone who may have little contact with others. You will follow guidance from an assigned Friendship Coordinator, who will offer full training before you begin and provide ongoing support throughout your volunteering journey.

Availability Details

The role is for about 30mins once a week, ongoing role. Calls to be made at a time convenient to both parties. After 3 months the match is reviewed, and will be continued or a new match may be offered if appropriate.
