Supporters of Community Garden Project Trainees

We work with learning disabled adults and people with mental health support needs and are based in Fairclough Ave on the allotment site. We have various workshops and work related enterprises alongside vocational activity based workshops for those who are unlikely to ever work but who enjoy a working environment that is fully supported.

We are looking for volunteers to support community garden trainees. The trainees will need help and advice with planting, weeding etc. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with experience in working alongside learning disabled trainees coupled with a passion for gardening.

We have been offered the opportunity to expand this year in April and will need volunteers to both work with our service users within the workshops described and to help develop the land (clearing, digging, preparing raised beds etc).

Skills

This is a local opportunity to Clacton on Sea. Volunteers will need a reasonable level of commitment to ensure that trainees are not disappointed by non attendance.
