Volunteer Learning Support Assistant

Volunteering in this role may include the following tasks:

·         Supporting learners one a 1-2-1 basis or in a small group with learning difficulties or learning disabilities to help them achieve

·         Supporting learners whose first language may not be English

·         Supporting learners


** We would like to hear from anyone looking to gain experience in helping young adults with Special Educational Needs in MINT classes.


We are looking for volunteers who are:

·         Reliable and patient

·         Have good listening skills

·         Have clear speaking and handwriting

·         Can provide peer support to our learners



·         Free access to SEN/LSA related courses at TACC after e.g ADHD, Dyslexia

·         To complete mandatory Safeguarding training, GDPR Governance training (online)

·         Attend Learner Support Meetings when they arise (usually once a term)
