Volunteer Chair-Based Exercise Leader

We are looking for Chair-Based Exercise Leaders to lead our classes, as part of our Health and Wellbeing Programme.

The fun, enjoyable and rewarding classes are aimed at those with mobility issues and/or long-term health conditions, but any adult can take part. The programme aims to improve mobility, increase social interaction, prevent falls and help to maintain independence. The programme consists of circulation & mobility movements, stretches, strength & endurance exercises and pelvic floor strengthening exercises; and has proven to increase movement, strength and confidence in attendees. The classes are also an excellent opportunity for attendees to get out of the house and make new friends.

No formal skills or qualifications are required, as full training will be provided. We are looking for individuals who have good 'people skills', have a real sense of 'get up and go' and can motivate residents to make healthy lifestyle changes.
