Help Us Unlock Funding for Nature, Health & Community
ANVOB CIC is seeking a skilled volunteer to champion our mission by writing compelling grant and sponsorship applications — helping us secure the resources we need to make a lasting difference in people's lives.
About ANVOB
ANVOB (A New Vision of Britain) is a Community Interest Company based in Waltham Abbey, Essex. We improve health, fitness, and wellbeing through nature-based activities and the creative arts — with a strong focus on climate and environmental awareness.
We work with charities, community organisations, and special needs groups, using photography, art, and video as powerful tools for engagement, expression, and positive change. Our work brings people closer to the natural world and to each other.
We're a small organisation doing meaningful work — and the right funding partner could help us scale our impact significantly across Essex and beyond.
The Role
As our Volunteer Grant & Sponsorship Writer, you will research, prepare, and submit funding applications on behalf of ANVOB to grant-giving bodies and corporate sponsors. You will work closely with the founding team to understand our projects and translate them into persuasive, well-evidenced applications.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
→ Research suitable grants and funding bodies
→ Write and submit grant applications
→ Approach companies for sponsorship
→ Track applications and deadlines
→ Help develop a funding strategy
→ Liaise with the ANVOB team for project detail
Skills
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
→ Strong written English and storytelling ability
→ Experience with grant or bid writing (desirable)
→ Understanding of the charity/CIC sector
→ Self-motivated and well organised
→ Passion for nature, community, or the arts
→ Ability to work independently
Areas of Funding Focus
→ Nature-based health and wellbeing programmes
→ Environmental education and climate awareness
→ Creative arts projects with community and special needs groups
→ Photography, film, and digital arts initiatives
→ Community engagement in the Epping Forest District and wider Esse
The Commitment
This is a flexible, home-based volunteer role. We are realistic about your time — we're not looking for someone to commit to fixed hours, but rather a motivated individual who can take ownership of the funding effort and work at a pace that suits them. Regular communication with the ANVOB team will be supported throughout.
