Volunteer for Wheelchair Loan Charity

To deal with administrative tasks involved with wheelchair loans including responsibility for:

Opening office and store room

Dealing with telephone enquiries including assessing needs of client to match with equipment

Ensuring equipment is ready for use and completing paperwork and collecting/returning deposits from clients

Monitoring equipment available and ensuring it is stored correctly and adequately maintained


Ideally our volunteers need to be able to communicate with the general public in a sensitive manner both in person and on the phone. the Volunteer will need to answer the telephone, complete loan forms and service wheelchairs. Once trained they may be required to man the office on their own from time to time.
