Get ready to bring the energy, the colour, and the fun!
As a volunteer at our vibrant Colour Run fundraising event in Chelmsford for North Avenue Youth Centre, you’ll be right at the heart of the action, helping to create an unforgettable day for young people and the community.
What you’ll be doing:
- Welcoming participants and helping with registration
- Throwing colour powder (the fun part!) and cheering runners along the route
- Supporting activity stations and keeping the atmosphere lively
- Assisting with set-up and pack-down
- Helping ensure everyone stays safe and has an amazing experience
This is a fantastic opportunity to meet new people, build confidence, and be part of something positive that directly supports our youth centre. Whether you’re a people-person, a behind-the-scenes organiser, or just love a good splash of colour, there’s a role for you!
Volunteers will work as part of a team to create a safe, inclusive, and high-energy environment for all attendees.
Skills
We’re looking for enthusiastic, friendly individuals who are keen to get involved and make a difference—no formal qualifications required!

- A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to get stuck in
- Good communication skills and confidence interacting with people of all ages
- An interest in working with young people or within the community
- Ability to work well as part of a team · Reliability and punctuality
- A basic awareness of safety and following instructions
Full guidance will be provided on the day, so the most important thing is your enthusiasm and willingness to help create a fun, safe, and memorable event for everyone involved.
