Do you enjoy online selling, spotting hidden gems and helping raise money for a great cause? We're looking for a friendly and organised volunteer to help manage HARP's Vinted shop, turning donated items into vital funds that support people experiencing homelessness across Southend.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys photography, online marketplaces and working independently, while making a real difference behind the scenes.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Vinted Volunteer, you'll help maximise the value of donated items by:
Selecting suitable items from the charity shop to be sold on Vinted.
Photographing items and creating attractive online listings.
Uploading items to HARP's Vinted account with accurate descriptions.
Monitoring the account and responding to customer messages and enquiries.
Packaging sold items safely and storing them ready for collection.
Taking sold items to the local Post Office for dispatch.
Helping keep stock organised and ensuring listings remain up to date.
What You'll Gain
By volunteering with HARP you'll:
Gain experience in online retail and e-commerce.
Develop photography, merchandising and customer service skills.
Build confidence using online sales platforms.
Meet new people and become part of a supportive volunteer team.
Make a real difference by helping raise funds to support local people experiencing homelessness.
Skills
You don't need to be an expert, but we'd love someone who has:
Basic computer skills and confidence using the internet.
Good communication and organisation skills.
An eye for quality items and presentation.
Experience using online selling platforms such as Vinted (even through a personal account) would be an advantage.
Reliability and the ability to work independently.
Full training on using HARP's Vinted account will be provided.
