We are looking for van crew to join our dedicated team. Our volunteer van crew play a vital role within the charity, delivering items of furniture purchased by our customers to their homes and collecting furniture from our donors.
This post would suit someone who has had work before delivering furniture to people's homes or someone who has good people skills and has a good space awareness, along with a high level of physical fitness.
As van crew you are the face of the charity while out on the van. The post involves going out on the van with another van crew and the driver, delivering to customers' homes in the morning and collecting from donors homes in the afternoon. This involves heavy lifting and a good sense of space awareness (as items have to be moved sometimes in small spaces in the person's home), good customer service skills, are essential. Some paper work is also involved.
No formal qualifications - must be physically fit as there is a great deal of lifting of heavy items.
