Maldon Museum in the Park is run entirely by volunteers. The museum tells the history of
people, places and objects from Maldon District.
We are looking for an additional trustee to join our existing Board.
What will the role of trustee involve?
As a trustee you will be one of a team who shape the work and strategic direction of the museum, putting the benefits to the public first. Trustees are not involved in the day-to-day running of the museum.
Trustees are appointed for a term of three years.
Why should I become a
trustee?
Being a trustee can be very rewarding: you can make a significant difference to a cause that matters to you. It is also a great way to get involved in your local community. As a trustee you will be part of a team and will have the opportunity to apply your unique skills and experience while learning from others.
Skills
Ideally we are looking for someone with a legal or business background to complement the skills of our existing team, although this is not essential. More importantly, you will have the commitment and enthusiasm to help us develop Maldon Museum in the Park into a place where people find inspiration from Maldon District’s past.
Previous governance experience is not required.
