Trustee

Trustees are the people who share ultimate responsibility for governing a charity and directing how it is managed and run. Trustees play an active part in the life of Volunteer Uttlesford (VU). They receive monthly manager's reports to update them on VU’s work and are encouraged to have a close working relationship with the staff.

Trustees must have an interest in volunteering, plus energy and enthusiasm for working as part of a committed team. Experience and knowledge of the voluntary sector is an advantage. Specific skills are always valuable to us although not essential. Legal, financial, human resources, marketing and computer skills would be very useful additions to the wide range of skills we have among our trustees.

Trustees are encouraged to take on specific responsibilities, according to their skills and previous experience.
