We provide transport for elderly and disabled people to attend clubs, go shopping, visit friends and keep hospital appointments. We also arrange outings at the weekends for our members. We have several mini buses and a large group of volunteer car drivers to do this.

We do receive some funding from Essex County Council and Chelmsford City Council but the County grant has been cut quite considerably. We therefore have to raise funds ourselves by seeking grants from other sources and planning fund raising events. Our Manager is very pro-active in this area but input and support from the Trustees would be very helpful. We are looking for one or two new Trustees to join the present board of six.

Experience of fund raising.

Knowledge of funding sources available for charities.

Organisation of small fund raising events.
