Treasurer to Chelmsford District Scouts

The District Treasurer will provide sound financial administration, support and information to the Executive Committee of the Chelmsford District Scout Council (a registered charity) in accordance with the Policy, Organisation and Rules of The Scout Association.


The district comprises 26 Scout Groups; 10 Explorer Units and caters for over 2,000 young people supported by 250 adult volunteers and manages funds in excess of £100K.



Skills

Previous experience of financial management and/or the role of a Charity Treasurer plus strong organisational and communication skills.

The ability to work as part of a team and be able to analyse financial information, think creatively and solve problems.

IT skills are essential plus the ability to maintain independent and objective judgement.
