Cressing Temple Community Shed is an affiliate of the Men’s Sheds organisation. This is a place where people can come together to learn new skills. To teach skills that they have and to have a place to meet others and socialise in a friendly and caring atmosphere.

The position required is that of treasurer which is a key member of the shed committee. It has responsibilities for the upkeep of the shed accounts in a professional manner. This is not only for the smooth running of the shed on behalf of the membership but also as a registered charity there exists fiscal responsibility in preparing and annual statement fo the Charities Commission. Furthermore, we have a responsibility to those organisations that donate to us financially to ensure that we account for our income responsibly.

It is a worthwhile position in that it helps to maintain an organisation that supports so many including those who are in need of an interest, those who are lonely and even some with problems.

It would be expected that the person volunteering for this would have had similar experience and/or accountancy/sound bookkeeping experience.
