Support families with young children

You will help at our drop=in session at Carver Barracks every Tuesday during term time from 2.15-2.45. A paid worker organises the sessions and an employee from Home-Start will also be there.

We provide space for under 5s to play, who will be supervised by their parents with your support. This gives mums the opportunity to chat to their friends, staff and you and to have their babies weighed.

You may also

* prepare healthy snacks for the children,

* play with the children

* make drinks for everyone,

* organise an arts and crafts table,

* give a listening ear to parents

You are helping to give army families, who come and go regularly, a chance to meet people, feel part of their community and so feel less isolated.
