Stroke Exercise Club - Support Volunteer

We require friendly, welcoming volunteers to help facilitate a weekly exercise group for people who have suffered a stroke.

Volunteers would open up the hall, prepare seating, get tea ready, welcome in members and do a bit of admin. They would support the trainers and provide kind, sympathetic social support to our clients and their carers.

The group meets on Wednesdays at Widford Village Hall, 13.30-15.00

Skills

Warmth, kindness and a genuine interest in helping people.

You will not be providing any medical or personal care and well be at all times supported by a professional trainer, however some knowledge of strokes and their effects would be an advantage.

You must be responsible and reliable.

We will provide Stroke Association training in First Aid and care of our members.
