ShelterBox Ambassador

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers with a passion to make a difference. By engaging with
your community, you will help us raise awareness and funds for families who have lost
everything after disaster.

Whether you are a keen public speaker or more comfortable behind a computer keyboard,
there are flexible options available to suit a variety of skills and time commitments.

There is no expectation for you to do all activities listed below yet we ask that you undertake
an activity of your choosing once a month.

This is primarily a lone working role and you will need to be self-sufficient. However, there
will be opportunities to connect with other volunteers and ShelterBox throughout the year.

The role is key to the work of the Community Fundraising Team, supporting our relationship focused approach and engaging the public about ShelterBox’s work.

Options include:

  • Speaker Engagements
  • Fundraising campaign support
  • Acting as the recipient for cheques and donations
  • Assisting demos at local events
  • Reaching out to community groups
  • Promoting our work through Social Media
  • Fundraising

  • · Either an ability to drive, use public transport or use e.g. Zoom, to attend speaker events

Availability Details

This is a flexible role, where volunteers can work from home or visit a variety of venues to give talks or take part in community events. This means that talks could be during the day, or to groups which meet in the evening.


This opportunity can be carried out whilst working from home.
