We need roving reserve guides at our various sites, including Bowers Marsh. The guides ensure that visitors are met by a friendly face representing the RSPB, and enjoy a great visitor experience.
Out and about on the reserve you will be helping visitors to identify wildlife and direct them to points of interest. You will be telling people about our amazing work and the benefits of RSPB membership, which is the lifeblood of the Society and is essential to funding nature conservation work both locally and across the UK.
If you are passionate about protecting and enhancing wildlife and feel that you could inspire others to feel the same way, then this may be the perfect volunteering role for you.
This role will also include collecting vital data, including visitor feedback
You don't need to be a wildlife expert, just enthusiastic to learn!
You need to be somebody who is approachable and friendly with good communication skills. You also need to have an interest in wildlife and/or the environment.
You would be expected to attend training sessions relevant to the role and would have the opportunity to attend quarterly volunteer meetings.
