Are you reliable, non-judgemental, warm, friendly and a good listener with a good sense of humour and good communication skills? Your personality, language, culture, interests and good nature could be just what a patient needs and we are looking for.
Visiting patients on the wards to offer a friendly face who will help them feel valued and contribute to improving their wellbeing. Many of the patients you visit will have dementia and may have difficulty engaging in long conversations or activities, however having someone to spend a short period of time chatting with them about their interests or having a cup of tea with them will really make a positive difference to their day.
