Nature Conservationist

The purpose of the charity is to preserve and share the History, Science & Nature of the 170 Acre Heritage site and to provide a safe & interesting place for all to visit.

 Wildlife and Nature Projects

RGM is a 170 acre site surrounded by natural land. Within the boundaries of this protected area there are water ways, open grassland and woodland, all of which create suitable habitats for various mammals, birds, insects and reptiles.

We are currently developing the Wildlife Walk which is a trail around the more secret part of the site in the woodland area. The aim of the wildlife walk is to give visitors access to the most natural parts of the site and give the opportunity to reveal the secrets and wonders of all the creatures who make RGM their home, hunting ground, grazing area and playground.

Visitors have the chance to book for wildlife experiences during the day and early evenings. There are different experiences for each season.

The Volunteer Role

Work alongside other conservation enthusiasts in this amazing natural and protected environment. This role provides a unique opportunity to learn about the wildlife on site and how to conserve and enhance various habitats.

You could help to enhance the visitors’ and children’s experiences by clearing access to views and creating displays for the wildlife tower exhibitions and information and activities for the wildlife walk and for tours.

This is a good time to get involved with the development of the Wildlife Walk project.
