My Social Prescription Volunteer

Do you want to get involved in your local community? Are you good at chatting to people? Would you like to improve the health and wellbeing of others? 

Community 360 are looking for friendly and approachable people to work alongside the My Social Prescription (MSP) team in doctors surgeries.

You will need to be a good communicator and will be based in different surgeries in the Colchester area. Your role will involve supporting the MSP team to take referrals from people who are looking for support and information to help them improve their daily lives and/or health conditions.

The hours will be flexible and dependent upon the surgery.

All training will be provided and regular support will be offered, as well as social meetings and activities.

Be confident and comfortable in discussing personal matters with service users

Be able to locate information for service users/visitors from the range of information available
