To assist and guide visitors around our soon to be opened railway museum.
Our new vibrant and exciting railway and shipping museum is due to open on 15th April at Harwich Town railway station. The museum comes under the umbrella of the Mayflower Heritage Centre ( formerly the Harwich Mayflower Project )
The opening day will be a gala event with a steam train calling at the station and lots of additional attractions.
We also have several roles for catering assistants in the small café attached to the museum which will involve serving light refreshments.
We have several volunteer positions available for help on the day and and then every Saturday thereafter with flexible hours.
We are not looking for volunteers with formal skills just enthusiasm and a sunny disposition !
For the catering positions some experience of a similar role or or a current food hygiene certificate would be welcome but not essential.
If you are interested in history or railways or just enjoy meeting people these roles could be for you.
