Huw Johnson Club is a weekly social club for adults with a learning disability with about 20 members. Activities include bingo, crafts, discos and performances by choirs and bands as well as meals out and trips bowling.
Volunteer minibus drivers needed to transport members to and from the Club (Saffron Walden to Stansted) on a Thursday evening approximately once a month (first journey 5.30-7pm; return journey 8:45-10pm). We hire a 15-seater minibus, which is fully wheelchair accessible, and provide an escort to accompany the bus each direction. Full training will be provided.
Skills
Licence to drive a minibus. Suitable volunteers have an instant rapport with the members. Caring nature.
All volunteers to undergo a DBS check.
