Mentor a 14-25 year old!

We are looking for volunteers to mentor and inspire young people aged 14-18 years old at schools, academies and colleges across London. Mentoring is hybrid and will take place online and in person. 

We also have programmes for 18-25, that are more flexible, please have a look in the opportunity pack below.

The large choices of programmes and delivery models that we offer means that you have a choice of volunteering locations. You can choose to participate in one of our face to face, hybrid (online and in person) or fully virtual partnerships.

What will you be doing?

You will be supporting the mentees in various things such as their next steps post sixth form, CV building, confidence or career advice

This is a hybrid model so you will have both sessions in the school and online.

If you are unable to make some dates but can for others, you are more than welcome to join as we can make a note of this prior.

What will you gain?

You will also develop skills in guidance, listening and empathy.

Training

Training will take approx. 1.5 hours via our online platform and once completed you will receive a certificate. We also hold an optional Mentor Induction Workshop that is available for you to attend too.  

Skills

To sign up as a mentor we require mentors to have 5 years experience, 2 years experience post graduate or retired / on a career break.

All we ask of our volunteers is to sign up to our platform at www.1mm.org.uk complete some mandatory online training.
