Local Talking Newspaper – Editor

Our local newspapers are great sources of local articles, features and information about our community that Visually impaired people often don’t have access to. The Uttlesford Talking News brings all this and more into their home in audio format. To quote one of our listeners “Listening to the Talking News is like having a friend visit me in my home every week”.

The Talking News is run on a Rota basis by a dedicated team of volunteer Technicians, Editors and Readers who record in our Resource Centre in Saffron Walden on Thursday evenings.

We are currently looking for an Editor to join our team, this role involves reading the Reporter and Walden Local and identifying items of interest that will recorded in The Talking News that week.

This opportunity is in Support 4 Sight Resource Centre in Saffron Walden
