A dedicated team of volunteers managed by Buckhurst Hill Parish Council are keeping the Library Self Service facility open to the public on Mondays and Wednesdays. We need more volunteers to support us with running this vital community service.
What will you be doing?
Making customers welcome, supporting them to use the library and talking to them about the library services. Dealing with basic enquiries and supporting people to borrow and return books on the self service units. Provide basic IT support on public computers . Open and close the library.
We are looking for volunteers who are enthusiastic and enjoy working with people of all ages. You will need to make a regular commitment. There will be initial training and on going support.
Location: Buckhurst Hill Library , 152 Queens Road, IG9 5AZ
Old building, access not available in all areas.

When can I volunteer?
Regular commitment needed. Time to be agreed as suits volunteer and library. Mondays or Wednesdays.
