Outreach Support Volunteer for Ways to Wellness Promotion

CAVS Ways to Wellness is a service which links residents to resources in the Communities of Castle Point & Rochford, with the aim of improving health and wellbeing. The service offers a one to one discussion to explore individuals social support needs and signposts to the most appropriate groups and/or services that are on offer. Ways to Wellness can give information on many activities that may improve health and lifestyle and these may include: Volunteering, Lunch clubs, Parent & Child services, Social groups, Befriending, Information & Advice, Community transport and Outdoor activities.

Volunteer Duties:

Attend initial induction and on-going training.

Attend chosen location to promote the scheme and inform members of the public.

Communicate with the Team to ensure records are kept up to date.

Volunteers are required to attend their chosen location for 2 hours once a month. The locations and times are as follows:

Great Wakering Medical Centre - 1st Thursday of every month, 9.30am - 11.30am

Audley Mills GP Surgery - 1st Wednesday of every month, 10am - 12pm


Be confident when dealing with people.

Be outgoing and friendly personality.
