Do you know your way round a Kitchen? Are you looking for a rewarding volunteer role in the Castle Point area? Perhaps you are looking to gain some experience or maybe you just enjoy cooking and would like to use your skills to benefit others? Whatever your reason for wishing to volunteer, we would like to talk to you.
We have a lovely new cook who prepares nutritious home cooked meals for our Clients at our Day Centre in Benfleet (near Hadleigh) but she would love an extra pair of hands! Duties would include helping to prepare the meals and assisting with keeping the kitchen clean and tidy. So if this is an area that interests you then please contact us for an informal chat.
The Silver Birch Dementia Day Centres are located in Basildon, Benfleet or Southend on Sea. The Centres provide a happy, up lifting environment for older people, some of whom have Dementia. This in turn allows their carers an often much needed break. Our Clients benefit from cognitive stimulation and take part in a wide variety of activities including arts and crafts, games and puzzles, music and much more. It has been proven with Dementia that the progression of the disease can be slowed down by encouraging such forms of stimulation. If you would like to join us as a volunteer, please see all our volunteer roles on Volunteer Essex and get in touch – we would love to talk to you!
