To assist the Housekeeping team by undertaking washing/ironing of bedding, towels etc. This role may also include light housekeeping.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting with Laundry and Ironing
Assisting with Light Housekeeping within the in-patient unit
Undertaking any Mandatory Training which is in line with Havens Hospices policies and guidelines
Any other duties designated by the Housekeeping Co-Ordinator

The location for this role is Fair Havens, Westcliff.
Due to the nature of our work, recently bereaved people with no previous experience of working or volunteering in â€˜patient contact' areas are not permitted to have their first posting as a volunteer in such areas. There is no time limit on this exemption, but having demonstrated an ability to cope as a hospice volunteer in another area without
exhibiting inappropriate or disproportionate emotions the situation can be reviewed.

You will be flexible, friendly, and willing to be part of the In Patient Unit team.
You will be able to cope well under pressure.
