Who We Are:
The Millrace Foundation is a small Charity providing a supportive and creative environment for people experiencing mental health challenges. Our core programme, the Millrace Project, offers a unique opportunity for individuals to learn furniture crafts, restoration and up-cycling skills in our workshop at Moulsham Mill. Participants gain valuable experience, build confidence, and can work towards a City & Guilds qualification.
As we grow, we need your expertise to guide us.

Skills
We are seeking individuals with experience in:
- Finance/Fundraising: Help us secure funding and manage resources effectively to ensure the long-term sustainability of our programs.
- The Public Sector: Including healthcare (especially mental health), safeguarding vulnerable people and/or governance. With a view to engaging with mental health services and other key stakeholders in relation to the services we provide to our beneficiaries and also to the policies underpinning this.
- Legal knowledge/processes: Which could be pertinent to matters concerning the Charity e.g. charity law and policy making.

Availability Details
Time commitment: Board meetings are held approximately every two months on Thursday evenings (4:00 PM - 6:30 PM) at our workshop in Moulsham Mill, Parkway, Chelmsford, CM2 7PX. Some meetings may be held online via Zoom.
