IT suite volunteer

The Maldon and District CVS Connect project is looking for a volunteer to help with the upkeep of our suite of tablets and mobile hotspots. 

The project aims to support people to  be more connected to the community, solve everyday issues through wellbeing workshops and utilising online and digital solutions. Our IT suite will enable us to run pop up sessions across the district including in locations that do not have wi-fi available. 

This volunteer role will look after the IT suite by ensuring they are cleaned after each use, checking the history and ensuring no secure data such as passwords have been retained on the tablets, ensuring they have up to date anti virus and system updates are carried out and keeping track of the data usage of the hotspots and topping up as needed. 

The role will be based out of the MDCVS offices in Heybridge with some travel around the district if agreeable, travel expenses will be reimbursed. 

it is expected that the role will be for a few hours a week.

Skills

Good working knowledge of using a tablet computer.
