In Memoriam Secretary

When someone dies, their loved ones may request charitable donations instead of flowers. Our volunteer In Memoriam secretaries play a crucial role in managing these, and being the link between the BHF and the people who want to support our work while remembering someone close to them.

You will:

- Visit specific funeral directors in your area and act as their point of contact (BHF will have already established these relationships)

- Collect, count and bank donations from the funeral homes.

- Send out acknowledgements and thank-you cards.

This role can be done from home and in your own time.

You will be a friendly outgoing individual with a natural empathy for people. You will have strong communication skills and an ability to communicate well over the phone and face to face. You will enjoy speaking to and meeting others.. Having access to a car or good public transport links around the area.
