Our link workers are offering a brand-new service to help people make the transition from hospital to home with as much support as we can. One way we aim to do this is by offering follow-up telephone calls for anyone returning home, living alone with no friends and neighbours to keep in touch.
This will be a short term commitment - once a day for a week, every other day for the next week. After that our Link Worker will take over. A brief, friendly call from one of our volunteers can make all the difference to somebody settling in again after a period in hospital.
You will become part of the wider volunteer community here at CVS Tendring where we offer a great way to make new friends and become a valuable part of your community.
Full support is provided to our volunteers.
