The principle role of the volunteer will be to give people the opportunity to benefit from physical exercise and the therapeutic advantages of growing and planting on a community allotment based in Dovercourt, Harwich. Importantly, it also makes people more aware of the advantages of fresh produce and can therefore help to improve their lifestyle and well being. .
There is increasing evidence that gardening is very beneficial for mental health issues as well as the more obvious physical activity attributes.
The group will be meeting at Long Meadows allotment . This is a new activity therefore days & times are flexible.
If this is something you would like to get involved in or simply would like to have more information then please call about the project can telephone CVS Tendring on 01255 425692/01255 425770.
