Group Activities Volunteer

InterAct are looking for volunteers to help us with our popular group activities programme where young people with additional needs meet regularly to socialise and have fun in the community. 

Our programme includes bowling, karaoke, meals out and cinema trips, and much more. Would you like to join us in supporting our young people while enjoying yourself and learning new skills?

This opportunity will give you the chance to develop new skills, meet new people and volunteer around your other commitments as well as adding value to your CV

Skills

• Able and keen to work with young people with learning disabilities and/or other disabilities, difficulties or disadvantages.
• Reliable and trustworthy with a responsible attitude and character.
• A good team worker, able to work flexibly and with a wide range of people.
• A willingness to learn and receive training and guidance; and the ability to respond to the direction of others.
• A caring sensitive nature.
• Concerned to respect and support clients.
• Able to keep and respect confidentiality where this is appropriate to their work
• Able to work with a non-discriminatory framework and in an equal opportunities environment.
