Graphic Designer and Photo Editor

- This role will be based within the Your Hospice Lottery and Make a Smile lottery marketing team, particularly with the Lottery Marketing Manager and Lottery Marketing Officer and Head of Lottery.

- Some liaison with the graphic design team in St Helena Hospice marketing and external designers to obtain original artworks

- Designing new, and amending branded literature and artworks for the Your Hospice Lottery and Make a Smile lottery brands - flyers, posters, leaflets and also graphics for digital use

- Ensuring all artworks are up to date with correct charity numbers, and the necessary gambleaware logos that must be displayed

- Preparing and amending Brand Guidelines documents

- Creation of visual stories and quotes for use on website and social media

- Editing photos to ensure that they have maximum impact

- The main duties of this role are to amend existing artworks and create new artworks for Your Hospice Lottery and Make a Smile lottery brands. The type of artwork varies from printed materials (posters, flyers, leaflets) to artwork used for digital purposes.

- These will assist the lottery marketing department in their function to raise the profile, reputation and income generated from the lottery.

- The system we have in place to work on is the entire collection of Creative Cloud- including Photoshop CC, Illustrator CC, and Adobe XD CC- for pc

- Somebody who can act in a professional manner and is happy to liase with other designers and printers if required

- The person who comes into this role will use a pc with the correct requirements for the role, and will work initially from Creative Cloud package, however we would be happy to review the programs most suitable for the role.

- Ideally the person who takes on this volunteer role will have already had the necessary training and know how to use this design package, including in design, and can prepare artwork ready for print

- The volunteer will follow a graphic design task list as requested by the Marketing Manager or Marketing Officer

- Online Health and Safety training

All volunteers must be sympathetic to and be able to project the philosophy, vision and values of St Helena Hospice.
