Good Neighbour Section Leader

Our Good Neighbour Section includes mainly befriending and collecting shopping for older vulnerable people living in IG10 who find it hard to get out of their home. Other requests include collecting prescriptions, dog walking - anything that a good neighbour might reasonably do.

The Section Leader liaises with referring agencies, visits and assesses vulnerable people in their home and matches the need with volunteer availability. Monitoring and record-keeping are other important parts of the role.

Location: Loughton

Skills

Essential: Good communication skills, especially listening. . Rapport and empathy with vulnerable adults. Enthusiasm, commitment and common sense.

Desirable: Dementia awareness (training can be given). Experience in leading a team.
