WAVE - General Helper

Do you live in one of these areas - Clacton/Harwich/Brightlingsea/Manningtree and surrounding villages?

We are expanding our team of volunteers who are willing to help out with general duties during unexpected events - from severe weather conditions to major incidents to pandemics.

We call our team WAVE - We Are Volunteering in Emergencies.

Please note: No emergency response/First Aid skills are expected.

General help volunteers will support local communities in whatever way we can:

-Greeting people at rest centres as they arrive.

-Assisting with admin, logging names, addresses etc.

-Offering friendly support to people who may be stressed and confused.

-Relaying up-to-date appropriate and accurate information to people.

Volunteers will work in a team with other volunteers or members of staff.

This is not a regular commitment - volunteers will only be called upon in an emergency event affecting their area.

This is a great opportunity to become part of the wider, established, very friendly CVST volunteer team. And to support people in your community when they need it most.
