We are a small care farm offering therapeutic and educational experiences to a range different people such as school children, adults who have learning disabilities, adults and children with mental health issues, older adults, dementia patients, young carers and homeless people.
We are looking for somebody quite dynamic to join our small team, somebody that may be able to assist in maintaining the farm and buildings on our site. This is a key role in our organisation and will help to better our services and provide a safe working environment for our service users.
The kinds of tasks we would ask of you might include:
· Minor repairs
· Cladding buildings
· Painting / decorating – including fitting skirting boards, architraves around doors etc
· Grass cutting / Strimming
· Clearing gutters
· Fencing repairs / maintenance
· Being creative with pallet wood!
· Reporting any problems on site
There may be other tasks not listed above, being a working farm there is
always something that needs to be done!
General woodwork skills
Decorating / painting / DIY skills
Ability to work from own initiative
Ability to re-use materials
Plumbing skills would be of benefit but not essential
Needs to be comfortable / confident around farm livestock and dogs
Some mandatory training would be provided such as Health and safety at work, manual handling etc.
Whilst we endeavor to make our premises as accessible as possible we are a working farm and as such cannot guarantee that all areas could be accessed by those facing mobility issues

We are looking for somebody that could give just a few hours maybe once a week, fortnight or month. We would like it to be on a regular day but which day is flexible. We would need those hours to be somewhere between 9.30am and 3.30pm on either Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.
