RSPB Old Hall Marshes is a wild and wonderful place. Although we are a quiet visitor reserve, we are open at the weekend and throughout the week.
We require volunteers to help us lock and open the reserve, mostly at the weekend but occasionally during the week.
Aside from this vital task which is important for the security and wellbeing of the reserve, there will also be opportunities throughout the summer and winter:
- to join and lead bird surveys and monitoring.
- help undertake surveys on lesser known species
- check stock including our friendly herd of Konik ponies
- ensure the reserve is a safe and tidy place for our visitors
An interest in wildlife conservation is beneficial but not essential.
We value enthusiasm, the ability to work in a small team but to use your own initiative as required.
